New Year 3

We’re delighted to welcome you and your child to The National Junior School as part of our new Year 3 cohort!

These are unusual times and I’m sure you’re wondering how we intend to help you and your child feel welcome at the school and to make the transition from Year 2 to Year 3 as smooth as possible.

It’s definitely still an unusual and challenging time at the moment, and we know you and your child might be feeling worried about the transition into Year 3 this September. We want to reassure you that we’re here for you every step of the way.

In order to follow the Government’s guidelines on social distancing, we’ve had to adjust our arrangements for supporting this year’s transition. However, we hope the activities that we’ve planned will help put your child (and you!) at ease and get them feeling as excited as we are for the new school year.

If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s transition, let us know by contacting the school by phone on 01476 563895 or emailing newyear3@thnatrust.org.uk. Please contact us with any queries and questions, and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible. If you have any questions about Special Educational Needs then please also send these to the same email address and our SENDCo, Mrs. Jenkins will get in touch with you.

If you haven't already done so please complete the National Junior School Admission Form by clicking this link https://forms.gle/7LioPSzcVNEs2vLL8. Further information and forms regarding uniform, childcare club, school meals etc. can be found on the other pages in Parental Information.

Unfortunately we were unable to hold an information evening in school for parents due to COVID-19. However, there was a virtual information meeting on 8th July at 4 pm. The recording of this meeting and information for you to look at with your child are available below.

We look forward to meeting you all soon.

Warm regards,

The Year 3 Team
